The Passionate Apprentices

Another highlight for Miellerie has been the production of, The Passionate Apprentices. This was filmed and directed by Tasmanian film maker Roger Scholes, telling the story of three different artisans and their apprentices: The Lonely Knife Maker, The Beekeepers Daughter and The Baker’s Sons. Following an extremely successful premiere and subsequent viewings at the State Theatre in Hobart 2008, the three episodes were presented on SBS in June 2008 which became the most viewed documentary for SBS in Australia for that year.
